I wanted to future look into female circumcision in Africa after our class discussion. Ive heard of it before but never really took the time to research it. so after reading about it I gained a clearer understanding for why but I still don't support it but I wanted to read different reasoning why. Its really sad what they are doing to these ladies, but some of these ladies believe its suppose to happen.

I previously took a Women's Ethnic Hertiage class at my community college and we had to learn about it and how common it actually is. It's heartwrenching to hear that tribes will do this as a rite of passage or even be used as a device to keep women from being an adulteror while her husband is away herding cattle or whatever it is he is doing. Above all else, its incredibly horrible because it is done in unsterile conditions and with no anestisia at all. So terrible.
