After watching the 49er game tonight (Go 9ERS!!) I decided to look into football in Africa.
After reading on a couple of sites I figured out that football isn't the same there as it is here, there definition of football is what we would call soccer! But hey thats fine since that was the case I continued to look up soccer and seen that its most popular in Morocco down to south Africa.

ReplyDeleteReally interesting article, I enjoyed reading it. Actually pretty much everywhere else but the United States refers to soccer as football. My best friend is from England and he still makes fun of me for calling it soccer! :D
ReplyDeleteI think the sports like soccer or football in Europe has grown significantly around the world after the debut of the World Cup in South Africa. The highlight of the previous World Cup not only attracted new fans to the sport, but in a way attracted foreigners to South Africa. My also guess is that it also brought a sense of "unity" through the whole continent of Africa on the national sport of football or soccer.
